L&L Plaquette is a Belgian artisanal butter producer based in Mesnil-Saint-Blaise in Wallonia, on the edge of the Belgian Ardennes. The Plaquette family has been associated with the family farm at this location for six generations. Production is currently managed by Lionel Plaquette, who represents the sixth generation of the family. The company selects fresh cream from the region, which is pasteurized to ensure consistent quality and microbiological safety. The butter is then produced through slow churning, a process that gradually separates the milk fat from the buttermilk. The core range includes unsalted and salted butter, as well as a variety made with fleur de sel. A separate part of the range consists of flavored butters containing black and white truffles, garlic, black garlic, herbs, seaweed, smoked salt, and other ingredients. The products are available in more than 16 flavors and in formats adapted for retail, hospitality, and professional kitchens. They are sold through specialty stores and hospitality establishments in Belgium and France and are also exported to other markets.
