Lofoten Arctic Water is a Norwegian bottled water producer founded in 2005 and based in Gravdal in the Lofoten archipelago. The company sources natural mountain water from an Arctic region north of the Arctic Circle and bottles it at its own facility in Gravdal. The source is naturally replenished throughout the year by snow, ice, and rain from the surrounding mountains. The water contains no additives and does not undergo processing that would alter its natural composition. It contains approximately 30 milligrams of total dissolved solids per liter, placing it in the super-low minerality category. Its composition includes small amounts of sodium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, and potassium, while its pH is approximately 6.8. The low mineral content contributes to its mild flavor, soft texture, and clean finish. The company produces still water without additives and a sparkling variety with added carbon dioxide. The water has been bottled in glass since 2018, while the facility was expanded in 2020 to introduce aluminum bottles. The aluminum packaging was developed as a reusable and easily recyclable alternative to plastic bottles.
