Lotus Rice is a Vietnamese rice producer and exporter associated with the family-owned Lotus Group. The company was established in 2007 under the name Blue Ocean Import–Export. The Lotus Rice brand was introduced in 2012 when the company also opened its first rice-processing facility. Its operations are based on sourcing rice from the Mekong Delta and processing, sorting, packaging, and distributing it. The company works with local farmers and monitors production from the fields to the finished packages. Its range includes jasmine rice, ST25 rice, glutinous rice, short-grain rice, brown rice, and other Vietnamese varieties. In addition to conventionally grown rice, it develops products obtained through sustainable and organic farming methods. The company operates two processing facilities with a combined monthly capacity of approximately 15,000 tonnes. Processing includes husk removal, polishing, grain sorting, quality control, and packaging in different formats. By 2022, the company’s products had been exported to more than 55 countries across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
