Magnolia Lab is a Hong Kong-based producer of botanical liqueurs established in 2020 by mixologist Dennis Mak and registered Chinese medicine practitioner James H. Ting. The company was founded with the objective of reinterpreting traditional Chinese herbal infusions through contemporary spirit production, combining expertise in cocktail craftsmanship with knowledge of Chinese medicinal botanicals. Its products are developed using a diverse selection of herbs, roots, flowers, spices, fruits, and other plant ingredients that have long been incorporated into East Asian culinary and herbal traditions. Rather than replicating conventional herbal wines or medicinal liquors, Magnolia Lab applies modern production techniques to create balanced botanical liqueurs intended for gastronomic and mixology applications.
