Maison Albert Bichot – Hospices de Beaune Corton Grand Cru Blanc Cuvée Docteur Peste is a distinguished white Burgundy produced from Chardonnay grapes grown in the prestigious Corton Grand Cru appellation. The cuvée is named in honor of Dr.

Jean-Louis Peste, a physician who dedicated much of his life to the Hospices de Beaune hospital, with vineyard parcels later donated to the institution in his memory. The wine originates from exceptional limestone-rich vineyard sites on the Corton hill, an area renowned for producing some of Burgundy’s most age-worthy white wines.

It displays a brilliant golden-yellow color and an expressive bouquet of white orchard fruits, citrus, and delicate floral aromas. On the palate, it combines richness and concentration with remarkable freshness and minerality, creating a powerful yet refined structure.

Notes of ripe pear, white peach, lemon zest, and subtle hints of hazelnut develop alongside a long and elegant finish. The wine is known for its balance between depth and precision, as well as its excellent aging potential.

Following the annual Hospices de Beaune auction, Maison Albert Bichot oversees the maturation of the wine in its own cellars, further enhancing its complexity and character.
