Maison Samira Maatouk is an Emirati coffee brand headquartered in Abu Dhabi with roots in the Maatouk family business in Lebanon. The family tradition began in 1949 when Mahmoud Maatouk established a coffee business in Beirut. The first Maatouk Maison du Café location opened in central Beirut in 1960. His daughter Samira Maatouk expanded the business into the United Arab Emirates by opening a branch in Abu Dhabi. After the founder’s death, Samira Maatouk and her brother took over the family business and expanded its production capacity in Lebanon and the UAE. Samira Maatouk is now the owner and chairwoman of the group that operates the brand. The company has coffee roasting and processing facilities in Abu Dhabi where it produces blends intended for different preparation methods. Its range includes Arabic and Turkish coffee, espresso, filter coffee, whole beans, and ground coffee. The products are made using Arabica beans from different geographical origins which are combined and roasted to achieve specific flavor profiles. At the brand’s stores, customers can select the blend, roast level, and grind according to their preferred preparation method. Maison Samira Maatouk operates a network of specialized stores and cafés across the United Arab Emirates, while its products are also available through retail and food-service channels. The brand combines the Maatouk family’s Lebanese coffee heritage with modern production and the coffee culture developed in Abu Dhabi.
