Manahel Khalid Alabyadh Sidr Honey is an award-winning Saudi monofloral honey produced from the nectar of wild Sidr blossoms (Ziziphus nummularia). It originates from Tarout Island and the Qatif area in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, where Sidr is traditionally regarded as one of the most important local nectar sources.
The honey is produced primarily by local honeybees adapted to the hot, arid climate of eastern Saudi Arabia. The hives are placed in areas where Sidr trees grow, and production follows their limited flowering season. The producer states that the honey is natural and contains no additives or preservatives, while controlled extraction, storage and packaging help preserve its natural aroma, texture and composition.
Sidr Honey has a golden to dark amber color, a dense and viscous texture, a pronounced floral aroma and a rich, well-rounded flavor with subtle caramel notes. It can be enjoyed on its own or served with bread, tahini, yogurt, cheese and nuts.
