Marrons Glacés Entiers by Marrons Imbert are whole glazed, or candied, sweet chestnuts, a traditional specialty of French confectionery. They are produced in Aubenas, in the Ardèche department, where this family-owned company has been processing chestnuts since 1920.
The product is made from carefully selected whole chestnuts sourced from France and Italy, sugar, and Bourbon vanilla. After being peeled and sorted, the chestnuts are cooked in water to remove their tannins and then slowly and progressively candied, allowing them to absorb the sugar syrup while retaining their whole shape and natural texture.
Marrons Glacés Entiers have a soft, tender texture, a rich chestnut flavor, and a delicate sweetness. They can be enjoyed on their own as a refined confection, served with coffee or tea, included in a festive selection of sweets, or used as an accompaniment to desserts.
