Maruyama Shuzōjō is a sake brewery in the Sanwa district of Jōetsu, Japan’s Niigata Prefecture, established in 1897. It is best known for its Secchūbai brand, whose name means “plum blossom in the snow,” symbolizing the arrival of spring in a region known for its long, snowy winters.
