Kremen Kamen is one of Matalj Winery’s signature labels and represents a premium expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Kremenjača site in the Negotin region. It is produced on stony, mineral-rich soils abundant in silicate sediments, which directly contribute to its concentration, firm structure, and distinctive minerality.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with dense, slow-moving legs that indicate viscosity and a full body. The aromatic profile is layered, offering notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, fresh and dried plums, eucalyptus, cedar, forest floor, and subtle spice.

On the palate, it is powerful and expansive, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity that provide balance and support long ageing potential. The winemaking process includes extended maceration, malolactic fermentation, and ageing in carefully selected new French barriques, adding to its complexity and finesse.

It pairs beautifully with red meat, game, and aged cheeses, where its structure and aromatic depth truly shine. Kremen Kamen stands as a strong and authentic showcase of the Negotin terroir at its finest.
