Liqueurs
Meiri Shurui is a Japanese producer of alcoholic beverages headquartered in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Its origins date back to 1860 with the establishment of the Kato Brewery, while the company in its current form was founded in 1950 through the merger of several sake producers from Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures. Its product portfolio includes sake, shochu, umeshu, gin, vodka, whisky, liqueurs, and selected fermented food products. Production is based on carefully selected rice and underground water sourced from the Mito region, combining traditional brewing methods with modern production technologies. In addition to manufacturing alcoholic beverages, the company is involved in fermentation research and the development of yeast strains used in sake brewing. Today, Meiri Shurui distributes its products throughout Japan and exports them to international markets.
