Milkbar is a family-owned bakery, dessert shop, and café established in Dubai in 2018. The business began as a home-based dessert shop before opening a physical location in the Jumeirah district. Its selection includes cakes, cookies, bread, and other freshly baked products, accompanied by specialty coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Doughs, fillings, and other components are prepared by hand and baked daily in its own kitchen. The bakery uses freshly milled French flour, French and Belgian chocolate, Persian saffron, and pure Sicilian pistachio paste. One of its most recognizable products is a large cookie filled with hazelnut and cocoa spread. The dessert selection is complemented by specialty coffee made with beans sourced from the European roasteries The Barn and Drop Coffee. Milkbar bases its space and style of service on the Scandinavian concept of taking a break over coffee, pastries, or desserts.
