Bún Gạo Minh Dương is a dried rice vermicelli produced by Minh Dương in Hoài Đức District in the Hanoi area. It is made from 100% rice which the manufacturer describes as having a controlled and traceable origin. The product contains no added preservatives or other food additives. The noodles are formed into smooth, rounded strands on an enclosed production line. Once cooked, they have a loose, slightly elastic texture and a natural rice flavor without the sourness sometimes associated with fresh vermicelli. They are prepared by boiling them in water for approximately four minutes. The noodles are then rinsed thoroughly to remove surface starch and prevent sticking while a final rinse with hot water helps separate the strands.
