Montagna Verde is an agricultural cooperative and agritourism business based in the village of Apella, in Lunigiana, northern Tuscany. The cooperative was established in the late 1980s to preserve the area’s chestnut groves and agricultural traditions. Its agritourism business opened in 1995, following the restoration of an old village tower. Mario Maffei founded the business and now runs it with his children, Barbara and Luca.
