Movia Veliko Rdeče is a dry red wine from Goriška Brda, crafted as a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a smaller share of Pinot Noir. Merlot contributes fullness and softness, Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and depth, while Pinot Noir adds elegance.

The grapes are hand-harvested, fermentation starts spontaneously, and the wine undergoes about four weeks of maceration before a long maturation period - approximately six years in French oak, allowing for natural stabilization without aggressive intervention. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with pronounced legs.

The aroma reveals layers of black fruit, blackcurrant, and ripe plum, followed by hints of cocoa, cedar, and dark chocolate, with subtle spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rounded and concentrated, with ripe tannins and a long finish that reflects the mineral character of the limestone-clay soils.

The wine requires time and air; decanting and serving at 16-18°C is recommended. Due to its intensity and structure, it pairs best with red meat, game, aged cheeses, and richer sauces.

Veliko Rdeče is a serious wine with long aging potential, intended for those who appreciate layered and complex blends.
