Obsidian Wines is a boutique winery located in the Onetangi Valley on Waiheke Island, within the Auckland wine region of New Zealand. The vineyards were first planted in the early 1990s on clay-rich soils containing iron and manganese oxides, conditions that promote low yields and concentrated fruit.
