Oremus Aszú 6 Puttonyos is the flagship sweet wine of the Oremus estate and one of the most prestigious expressions of the Tokaj region. Produced from hand-selected botrytized grapes of traditional Tokaj varieties, including Furmint, Hárslevelű, Zéta, and Sárgamuskotály, the wine follows a centuries-old method that has defined Tokaji Aszú for generations.

The designation “6 Puttonyos” represents the highest traditional sweetness level of Tokaji Aszú, indicating an exceptional concentration of noble-rotted grapes and remarkable richness. After a slow fermentation, the wine is aged for several years in oak barrels within Oremus’s historic underground cellars, allowing it to develop extraordinary complexity and balance.

Aromas of apricot, peach, honey, orange peel, dried fruits, acacia flowers, and exotic spices are complemented by subtle notes of caramel and nuts. Despite its intense sweetness, the wine remains vibrant and elegant thanks to Tokaj’s naturally high acidity.

On the palate, it is rich, layered, and exceptionally long, with a harmonious interplay of fruit, honeyed richness, minerality, and freshness. Widely regarded as one of Hungary’s greatest dessert wines, Oremus Aszú 6 Puttonyos embodies the centuries-old tradition that earned Tokaji the historic title “the wine of kings and the king of wines.
