Patchi is a Lebanese chocolate producer founded by Nizar Choucair in Beirut in 1974. The business began with the opening of its first shop on Hamra Street, while the brand entered the international market the following year with a boutique in Amman. Its expansion into the United Arab Emirates followed in 1984, when Patchi opened its first shops in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah. The company specializes in milk, dark and white chocolates with a range of fillings and additional ingredients. Its assortment includes pralines, chocolate bars, dragées, truffles and specially designed gift collections. The chocolates may contain hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, gianduja, dried fruit, crisped rice and various cream fillings. Individually wrapped chocolates arranged in decorative boxes that can be customized for different occasions form a recognizable part of its offering. Over time, Patchi has developed an international retail network that now comprises more than 190 boutiques worldwide.
