Salvator is the most historically significant beer in the Paulaner brewery’s lineup and the original representative of the doppelbock beer style. Its roots go back more than 375 years, when it was brewed by monks of the Order of Saint Francis of Paola as "liquid bread" to sustain them during fasting periods.

This beer is made from carefully selected malts, traditional German hops, and pure Munich water, all in accordance with the renowned German Beer Purity Law - Reinheitsgebot. Salvator is a dark, rich, and full-bodied beer with a deep mahogany color and a firm, creamy head. Its aroma is dominated by notes of caramel, dark bread, cocoa, ripe fruit, and a hint of vanilla.

The flavor is layered and intense - malty tones of dark chocolate and roasted bread blend harmoniously with a mild bitterness and gentle alcoholic warmth. With an alcohol content of 7.9%, the beer has a velvety, medium-to-full body, making it ideal for slow, contemplative sipping.
