Liberty is an imperial stout from Pinta Barrel Brewing, representing the brewery’s most ambitious approach to barrel-aging. It matures for an exceptionally long period -between 22 and 33 months - in a combination of Heaven Hill bourbon, calvados, and Banyuls wine barrels, which creates a deeply layered aromatic structure.

The beer is nearly black, thick, and oily, with minimal foam. The aroma reveals dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted almonds, and nutty tones, complemented by vanilla and refined oak from the barrels.

The flavor is intense and profound: chocolate and almonds dominate, followed by a gentle caramel sweetness and noticeable alcohol warmth. The texture is syrupy and concentrated, with very low carbonation that emphasizes its full body.

The long finish and gentle heat in the mouth indicate a high alcohol content, yet everything remains balanced and cohesive. Limited quantities and the lengthy aging process make it a collector’s release.

This beer embodies Pinta Barrel Brewing’s philosophy: time, patience, and experimentation as the key to quality.
