Marrons Entiers Cuits à la Vapeur Sous Vide are whole cooked chestnuts from the French producer Ponthier. They build on the company’s range of vacuum-packed cooked chestnuts, first developed by founder André Ponthier in 1980. The chestnuts are processed in Objat, in the Corrèze department, using fruit sourced from selected suppliers in France, Spain or Portugal.

The chestnuts are harvested by hand, flame-peeled, steam-cooked under vacuum and packed whole. They contain 100% chestnuts, with no additives. This process preserves their natural shape and gives them a soft texture with lightly sweet, roasted notes.

Ready to use, the chestnuts can be warmed in a few minutes. Ponthier suggests serving them on their own, as an appetiser or in salads, alongside meat, game or fish, or in desserts.
