Tognano Fiano di Avellino Riserva is a single-vineyard wine from Rocca del Principe, produced exclusively from 100% Fiano grown in the Contrada Tognano area near Lapio, at around 550 meters above sea level. The vineyard’s mineral-rich soils and cooler climate contribute to the wine’s precision, freshness, and long aging potential.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by extended aging on fine lees and additional bottle maturation, allowing the wine to develop depth and complexity without the influence of oak. In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with greenish highlights.
Aromas are layered and refined, offering citrus zest, white peach, herbs, hints of hazelnut, and subtle smoky and mineral notes that evolve with time. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and structured, with pronounced acidity, saline minerality, and a long, persistent finish.
The texture is tense yet elegant, balancing richness with freshness. Tognano Riserva is a serious, age-worthy expression of Fiano di Avellino, capable of developing beautifully over many years and pairing well with seafood, shellfish, white meats, and refined Mediterranean dishes.
