The Chosen Hillside Pinot Noir from Rockburn is a single-vineyard expression sourced from a carefully selected hillside block in the Parkburn area of Central Otago. The site’s eastern exposure and elevated position provide morning sun and cooler afternoon conditions, allowing slow, even ripening and preserving aromatic clarity and natural acidity.

In the glass, the wine shows lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and plum, layered with subtle floral notes, gentle spice, and a light earthy undertone. The palate is refined and focused, with fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity that give structure without heaviness.

Texture and balance are emphasized over power, resulting in a Pinot Noir that feels precise and site-driven. Winemaking is deliberately restrained, with limited intervention and careful oak use to support, not mask, the vineyard character.
