Rothaus is a state-owned brewery nestled in the unspoiled nature of the Black Forest, in the village of Grafenhausen, at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters - making it the highest brewery in Germany. This unique location contributes to the distinct character of its beers, along with the use of crystal-clear, soft water from seven of its own springs, locally grown barley malt, and select German aroma hops, all brewed in strict accordance with the renowned 1516 German Beer Purity Law - Reinheitsgebot.
