Rothaus Tannenzäpfle is a cult classic German pilsner from the state-owned Rothaus Brewery, nestled in the heart of the Black Forest. The name “Tannenzäpfle” meaning “little pine cone” refers to the brewery’s regional identity.

This pilsner has an alcohol content of 5.1% and is brewed using locally sourced barley malt, German aroma hops from Tettnang and Hallertau, and crystal-clear, soft water from seven natural springs in the Black Forest. In the glass, it appears pale yellow to golden with a fine, persistent head. The aroma is clean and refreshing, marked by notes of grain, green herbal hops, and a subtle citrus undertone.

On the palate, it delivers a light to medium body with crisp, almost champagne-like carbonation, gentle malt sweetness, and a pleasant herbal twist, finishing dry, clean, and highly drinkable.
