Salmarim is a family-run brand from Castro Marim in eastern Algarve, specializing in the artisanal harvesting of fleur de sel within the protected Sapal nature reserve. Production takes place in traditional salt pans where the combination of sunlight, wind and shallow basins allows a delicate layer of salt crystals to form on the surface, which is then carefully collected by hand without machines or refinement.
