Samuel Adams - Utopias is an exclusive, limited-release beer that resembles a fine cognac or port more than a traditional brew, with an exceptionally high alcohol content of up to 28% ABV. It is brewed every other year in limited quantities and represents the pinnacle of brewing craftsmanship.

The beer is a blend of multiple vintages, some aged for up to 24 years in a variety of barrels including bourbon, rum, cognac, port, and madeira. Utopias is non-carbonated and served at room temperature in small pours, meant to be sipped slowly.

Aromas and flavors include dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, cherry, leather, and oak. The texture is syrupy, smooth, and complex.

Due to its high ABV, it’s not sold in all U.S. states, and its copper kettle-shaped bottle is a prized collector’s item.
