60 Sessantanni Old Vines Primitivo di Manduria from San Marzano is a flagship expression of Primitivo that celebrates the deep roots and aging potential of old-vine fruit in the Primitivo di Manduria DOC. It is made exclusively from grapes harvested on very old vineyards averaging around 60 years in age, which naturally produce lower yields with highly concentrated flavors and phenolic ripeness.

The wine shows a deep, opaque ruby color and an aromatic profile defined by ripe black and red fruit - black cherry, plum, bramble - layered with spice, licorice and hints of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is full-bodied and richly textured, with substantial but finely integrated tannins, lively acidity and a long, persistent finish that balances power with elegance.

Extended aging in oak lends complexity - gently framed spice and toasted notes - without overwhelming the purity of the fruit. 60 Sessantanni reflects the warmth and terroir of southern Puglia and underscores Primitivo’s ability to produce serious, ageworthy wines with depth and nuance. It pairs beautifully with roasted and grilled red meats, game, braised dishes and mature cheeses, and stands out as one of the most concentrated and distinctive wines in San Marzano’s portfolio.
