Whole Santorini Tomatoes PDO are canned whole, unpeeled tomatoes from Santorini, offered under the Santo Taste brand of the Union of Santorini Cooperatives. They are made from the island’s local small tomato, Tomataki Santorinis, which holds Protected Designation of Origin status.

The tomatoes are grown without irrigation in the island’s volcanic soil, under conditions that shape their distinctive character. The fruits remain whole, retaining their thicker skins, beneath which lies a fleshy interior with a velvety texture.

They are characterized by natural sweetness, a full flavor, and pronounced, fresh tomato aromas. They are suitable for stews and baked dishes with tomato sauce, as well as omelets, pasta, and risotto, bringing the distinctive taste of Santorini tomatoes to each dish.
