Sepon Group is a Vietnamese trading and agricultural company headquartered in Đông Hà in Quảng Trị Province. Its origins date back to May 1973 when a food and general merchandise trading enterprise was established in Đông Hà. The business was reorganized several times over the following decades and has operated as Quảng Trị Trading Corporation since the end of 2014. Its agricultural operations cover rice, cassava, pepper, chili, rubber, and other locally sourced raw materials. Rice production is organized in cooperation with farmers and agricultural cooperatives in Quảng Trị Province. The company arranges contract farming, supervises cultivation, and processes and packages the finished rice. Its range includes organic, safety-controlled, and certified rice in several categories. The main varieties include aromatic ST25 and the Japanese J02 variety. Organic rice is cultivated without synthetic fertilizers, chemical pesticides, artificial flavors, or preservatives. In addition to whole-grain rice, Sepon produces broken rice, noodles, biscuits, and other rice-based products. The company states that approximately 3,000 hectares in Quảng Trị Province are used for organic cultivation while around 7,000 hectares follow Vietnamese good agricultural practices and safe production standards. Water for some of the fields comes from local lakes and reservoirs that are not directly exposed to major industrial sources of pollution. Sepon Group sells its products in Vietnam and is developing production intended for export markets.
