Shabar is a Thai artisanal bean-to-bar chocolate producer headquartered in Bangkok, founded in 2017 by Narut Ampakorn with the goal of promoting high-quality Thai cacao and supporting the development of sustainable domestic chocolate production. The company produces small batches of chocolate using cacao beans sourced directly from local farmers in the Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chanthaburi provinces, highlighting the distinctive characteristics of each growing region. Shabar follows the bean-to-bar philosophy, controlling every stage of production, from sourcing and roasting the cacao beans to grinding, conching, and molding the finished chocolate bars. In addition to classic dark chocolates with different cacao percentages, the company also develops products featuring local ingredients such as sea salt, bee pollen, and other natural inclusions.
