Mingqian Teji Xihu Longjing is a Chinese green tea from the Shi Pai brand, originating in the West Lake area of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Mingqian denotes harvesting before the Qingming Festival in early April, while Teji indicates a special, or extra-grade, tea.
It is made from young spring leaves from the core Xihu Longjing production area. Processing follows the traditional pan-firing method, which develops the aroma and shapes the characteristic flat leaves. Early harvesting and careful processing define this selection’s character.
It features a pronounced roasted-bean aroma, a fresh, rounded flavour, and a lingering sweet finish. The infusion is clear and bright, with a yellowish hue reminiscent of brown rice grains.
