Arroqueño Ancestral is a mezcal from Son de Oaxaca, a brand from the Mexican state of Oaxaca, made exclusively from Arroqueño agave. It belongs to the ancestral category, with production defined by traditional agave processing and distillation in clay pots.

The agave hearts are roasted in an earthen oven, then crushed and left to ferment naturally in wooden vats. This is followed by slow, double distillation in clay pots, and the mezcal is bottled at 46% ABV. This process produces a spirit that retains the agave’s pronounced herbal and earthy notes.

The aroma reveals caramel and hints of fruit, while an initial sweetness on the palate develops into warm herbal and earthy notes. The finish is long, with lingering impressions of caramelized agave and earth.
