Sriraja Panich is Thailand's best-known producer of the original Sriracha chili sauce and is widely regarded as the first commercial manufacturer of this iconic condiment in the country. The company was founded in 1935 in the town of Si Racha, Chonburi Province, where Thanom Chakkapak created the original recipe, initially preparing the sauce for her family to accompany seafood dishes. Made from a balanced blend of red chili peppers, garlic, vinegar, sugar, and salt, the sauce quickly gained popularity among local residents before becoming recognized throughout Thailand. Unlike many modern Sriracha sauces, the original Sriraja Panich is known for its milder heat, slightly sweeter flavor, and thinner consistency, making it a traditional accompaniment to seafood, omelets, stir-fried dishes, and noodles. In 1984, the brand was acquired by Thai Theparos Food Products, which expanded its production and international distribution while preserving the original recipe. Today, Sriraja Panich is exported to more than 50 countries and remains one of Thailand's most recognizable food brands. It is widely regarded as the authentic Sriracha sauce from the town that gave the condiment its name and as an important part of Thailand's culinary heritage.
