Tác Huy is a Vietnamese family producer of fish sauce and fermented products made from small marine shrimp. Its production facilities are located in the coastal ward of Hải Thanh in Nghi Sơn, Thanh Hóa Province. The business is registered under the name of Đồng Thị Huy and is jointly managed with her husband Dương Văn Tác. The brand name combines parts of their names. The family represents the fourth generation involved in fish sauce production in the Do Xuyên–Ba Làng area. This region has a long tradition of processing fish and marine shrimp through salting and fermentation. The company’s range includes fish sauce, mắm tôm made from very small shrimp and mắm tép produced from slightly larger shrimp. The raw materials are mixed with salt and left to mature in tanks and large ceramic vessels. The producer operates nearly 50 salting tanks and hundreds of fermentation vessels distributed across three production sites. According to data from 2023, its annual output amounted to approximately 3,000 liters of concentrated fish sauce and nearly 100 tonnes of fermented shrimp pastes. Tác Huy’s special shrimp paste and fish sauce were recognized as representative rural industrial products of Thanh Hóa Province in 2023. Its products are sold primarily on local and regional markets.
