Piero Brunello di Montalcino is the flagship wine of Talenti, named in honor of the estate’s founder Pierluigi Talenti, and represents the most ambitious expression of their Sangiovese. The grapes come from carefully selected parcels in the Pian di Conte area, where altitude, exposure and soil composition allow for slow, balanced ripening and high aromatic concentration.
Vinification follows a traditional approach, with long maceration and aging in large oak casks that build structure while preserving varietal purity. The wine shows a deep ruby color and a complex aromatic profile marked by ripe cherry, plum, dried herbs, spice and subtle earthy notes.
On the palate it is powerful yet well balanced, with firm, mature tannins and vibrant acidity that support long aging potential. The finish is long, precise and mineral, clearly reflecting the character of the Montalcino terroir.
Piero Brunello di Montalcino is a serious, age-worthy wine that expresses both the classical spirit of Brunello and the disciplined, terroir-driven philosophy of the Talenti estate.
