Tbilvino Mukuzani Special Reserve is a dry red wine made from 100% Saperavi grapes sourced from the Mukuzani appellation in Kakheti, one of Georgia’s most recognized microzones for structured and age-worthy reds. Unlike standard Saperavi, Mukuzani wines are defined by mandatory aging in oak, which contributes to their depth, refinement, and complexity.
The wine shows a deep garnet color, with an aromatic profile built around black cherry, blackberry, and plum, layered with notes of vanilla, toasted oak, spice, and subtle earthy tones. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with firm yet polished tannins and balanced acidity that supports long aging potential.
The oak integration adds complexity without overpowering the fruit, resulting in a harmonious and rounded expression. Secondary nuances such as cocoa, leather, and dried herbs may develop with time in bottle.
The finish is persistent and elegant, with a dry, slightly savory edge characteristic of the Mukuzani style. This wine pairs particularly well with roasted and grilled meats, lamb, game, and mature cheeses.
Mukuzani Special Reserve reflects a more refined and classical interpretation of Saperavi, combining regional identity with controlled maturation and structure.
