Teliani Valley Glekhuri Kisi Qvevri is a dry amber wine made from the indigenous Kisi grape in the Kakheti region, produced using the traditional qvevri method, where fermentation and aging take place in clay vessels buried underground. Extended skin contact gives the wine its characteristic amber-orange color and a light tannic structure, typical of Georgian “orange” wines.

The aromatic profile features notes of ripe apricot, dried fruit, honey, and floral tones, complemented by subtle spice and herbal nuances. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a pronounced texture, balanced by fresh acidity and a long finish.

The tannins are gentle but contribute to the wine’s depth and structure. The Glekhuri line emphasizes a traditional, low-intervention approach, focusing on preserving the authenticity of the grape variety and its terroir.

This wine pairs well with dishes such as roasted poultry, fish, aged cheeses, and spiced vegetable preparations. Overall, it is a distinctive, character-driven wine that clearly expresses both the Kisi variety and the specificity of the qvevri technique.
