Lodovico is a red wine from Tuscany, classified as Toscana IGT. It is made from grapes grown in Vigna Lodovico, a six-hectare vineyard between Bolgheri and Bibbona.
The wine is based on Cabernet Franc, with a small proportion of other varieties that may vary by vintage. The vineyard lies on the north-facing part of the Bellaria area, where cooler night winds help the grapes ripen while preserving their acidity. Its soils contain clay, alluvial and volcanic deposits, and the conglomerate characteristic of the Bolgheri area. Production is limited to approximately 10,000 bottles a year.
Lodovico is a structured wine with a pronounced fruit character and the potential to age.
