Tenuta La Massa is a Tuscan estate located in Panzano in Chianti, an area known for its favorable exposure and balanced microclimate within the Chianti Classico zone. The winery was revitalized in the 1990s under the ownership of Giampaolo Motta, who shifted its direction toward a more international and terroir-focused style, moving away from traditional Chianti classification.

The vineyards are planted on galestro-rich soils at moderate elevations, contributing to both structure and freshness in the wines. While Sangiovese remains an important component, the estate also cultivates Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting a broader stylistic approach.
