Gạo TBR39 is an aromatic long-grain rice produced by the Vietnamese company ThaiBinh Seed. It is made from the TBR39 rice variety which was developed and protected by the company. The variety was selected for its grain quality, resistance to certain diseases, and suitability for large-scale cultivation. The uncooked grains are slender and measure between 7.4 and 7.7 millimeters in length. Its amylose content ranges from 16 to 17 percent which contributes to a soft and slightly sticky texture after cooking. The rice has a mild natural aroma that becomes more pronounced during cooking. The cooked grains are glossy, soft, and elastic with a full and slightly sweet flavor. According to the producer, the rice retains its softness and aroma the following day without becoming noticeably hard. It is intended for everyday dishes that benefit from a softer texture and a delicate rice aroma. Production takes place through a controlled supply chain encompassing seed development, cultivation, harvesting, processing, and packaging.
