Majra Honey is a rare Saudi monofloral honey produced by Thamarat Al‑Shifa and associated with the mountainous areas of southwestern Saudi Arabia. It is made from the nectar of the majra plant (Hypoestes forskaolii), a wild species that grows at higher elevations and is locally known as nadgh.

Majra flowers for a short period that largely depends on rainfall and weather conditions. During the flowering season, beehives are placed near areas where the plant grows so that the bees primarily collect its nectar. The limited and unpredictable season, together with the plant’s difficult-to-reach mountain habitat, makes this one of Saudi Arabia’s rarer honeys.

After extraction, the honey crystallizes naturally and relatively quickly, developing a very pale, almost white color and a thick, finely creamy texture. It has pronounced, clean sweetness, a delicate floral aroma, and subtle herbal notes. It can be enjoyed on its own or served with bread, pastries, cheese, and nuts. Its crystallization is a natural characteristic rather than a sign of spoilage or added sugar.
