Valverán 20 Manzanas is the flagship ice cider of Valverán and one of the most internationally recognized examples of this style. Its name reflects the production principle, as at least twenty carefully selected apples are used to produce a single bottle, resulting in a concentrated and expressive cider.

It is made from native Asturian apple varieties, which are harvested and then subjected to controlled freezing conditions to replicate the natural effects of frost and concentrate the sugars and aromas. The fermentation process is slow and can last around ten months, followed by additional aging on fine lees, with the entire production cycle extending up to two years.

In the glass, it reveals a complex aromatic profile dominated by ripe apple, citrus peel, and subtle notes of quince and stone fruit, supported by light honeyed undertones. On the palate, it achieves a precise balance between sweetness and acidity, with a smooth, full-bodied texture and a long, fresh finish that prevents it from feeling heavy despite its concentration.

With an alcohol content of around 10 percent and limited production volumes, it is positioned firmly within the premium cider category. Valverán 20 Manzanas has received multiple international awards, including recognition at the World Cider Awards, reinforcing its reputation within the global cider scene.

It is typically paired with cheeses, foie gras, or lightly sweet desserts, where its acidity and aromatic depth can fully develop.
