Viña Von Siebenthal Tatay de Cristóbal Carménère is an icon-level wine from the Aconcagua Valley, representing the winery’s most ambitious and refined expression of this emblematic Chilean variety. Sourced from carefully selected parcels in Panquehue, the wine is based predominantly on Carménère, sometimes complemented by a small proportion of Petit Verdot to enhance structure and depth.

It shows a deep, intense color and a complex aromatic profile marked by ripe black fruit, such as blackberry and blackcurrant, layered with notes of spice, cocoa, coffee, liquorice, and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate, Tatay de Cristóbal is powerful yet controlled, with firm but polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a dense, focused texture that emphasizes elegance over excess.

The finish is long and persistent, underscoring both concentration and freshness. Produced in limited quantities, this wine is widely regarded as one of the most serious and age-worthy Carménère expressions from Chile, clearly reflecting Von Siebenthal’s terroir-driven philosophy and artisanal approach.
