Watonga Cheese Factory is a small cheese producer with a tradition dating back to 1940, originally founded in the town of Watonga, Oklahoma, where their distinctive longhorn cheddar originated. After changes in ownership, the production was taken over in 2002 by Casey and Brandi Cowan, who restored the original recipe and the manual cheesemaking process.
