Sourced from the legendary Bernkasteler Doctor vineyard - one of Germany’s most revered sites with steep, slate-rich soils - this wine is produced only in exceptional vintages when noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) develops under ideal conditions. The Trockenbeerenauslese style represents the highest level of ripeness and concentration, achieved through meticulous hand selection of individually shriveled, botrytized berries.
Aromatically, the wine is intensely complex, offering layers of dried apricot, candied citrus peel, honey, tropical fruit, and marmalade, alongside nuanced notes of saffron, spice, and wet slate. On the palate, it is extremely concentrated and viscous, yet perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity that provides lift and precision.
The sweetness is profound but never heavy, unfolding into a remarkably long, detailed finish. Production is extremely limited, often yielding only a few bottles per vintage.

The winery is almost entirely dedicated to Riesling, sourced from steep, slate-rich vineyards that define the Mosel’s signature style. Its most famous site is the renowned Bernkasteler Doctor, one of Germany’s most prestigious vineyards, known for producing highly complex and age-worthy wines.
