Extremely Old Pu-erh Cake Tea is one of Ying Kee Tea House's signature aged pu-erh teas, produced from carefully selected tea leaves sourced from Yunnan Province, the traditional home of pu-erh tea in China. The leaves are compressed into a traditional tea cake and naturally aged over an extended period, allowing the tea to develop greater depth, smoothness, and aromatic complexity. As the tea matures, its flavor becomes mellow and well-rounded, with distinctive earthy, woody, and dried fruit notes accompanied by a lingering, clean finish. The compressed cake format helps preserve the tea during long-term aging while allowing its character to continue evolving over time. The tea can be infused repeatedly, with each infusion revealing different layers of flavor and aroma. It is intended for traditional Chinese gongfu brewing as well as conventional steeping methods.
