Reventón Sur Lie Grk is a white wine produced by the Zure winery on the island of Korčula, made from the indigenous Grk grape variety grown in the sandy vineyards of Lumbarda. The name “Sur Lie” refers to the winemaking technique in which the wine remains in contact with its fine lees for an extended period after fermentation, allowing it to develop greater texture and complexity.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented under controlled conditions, after which the wine ages on fine lees before bottling. This process contributes to a fuller body and a more layered aromatic profile compared to fresher styles of Grk.
The wine typically shows a bright golden-yellow color and aromas of citrus, ripe apple and Mediterranean herbs, accompanied by subtle yeasty and mineral notes from the lees aging. On the palate it is structured and balanced, with lively acidity, a slightly creamy texture and a characteristic saline nuance influenced by the maritime environment.
The finish is long and persistent, highlighting both the varietal character of Grk and the influence of the Sur Lie aging method.
