Hammer - Italian Craft Beer is a contemporary Italian craft brewery based in Villa d’Adda in Lombardy, founded in 2015 with the ambition to combine precise brewing technology with a strong sense of style. Although relatively young, it quickly gained recognition for beers that balance technical clarity with pronounced aromatic profiles. Its location in the Bergamo area provides access to high-quality water and regional ingredients that contribute to consistent production. The brewery’s range covers a wide spectrum of styles - from light Belgian-inspired blanche beers and modern American IPAs to darker, more complex brews featuring smoky or roasted notes. Hammer - Italian Craft Beer’s recipes are built on continuous experimentation and the exploration of new combinations of hops, spices, and fermentation techniques. The brand’s philosophy emphasizes authenticity, precision, and consistency, guided by the belief that beer should have character without unnecessary complexity. Their beers are often recommended to drinkers who appreciate clean, straightforward flavors as well as those who seek styles with expressive aromatic depth. The brewery continues to expand its portfolio, refine existing recipes, and strengthen its identity in an increasingly demanding craft beer market.
Birrificio WAR is an independent craft brewery based in Cassina de’ Pecchi, Lombardy, just outside Milan, combining agricultural heritage with a modern approach to beer production. Founded in 2017 as part of a family farm, the brewery operates on a vertically integrated model - over 80% of its raw materials, including malt, come from its own fields. The production facility is housed in a renovated former stable, now transformed into a modern and functional space with a tasting room and outdoor beer garden.
WAR quickly gained a reputation for innovation and technical precision, recognized for its diverse and experimental portfolio. From classic styles to one-shot limited editions, the brewery maintains a dynamic range shaped by both creativity and control over the entire production process. Through a blend of artisanal dedication, agricultural independence, and bold expression, Birrificio WAR has positioned itself as one of the most compelling new breweries in northern Italy.
Birrificio 1816 is an Italian craft brewery located in the alpine town of Livigno in the Lombardy region, at an altitude of 1,816 meters above sea level, which inspired its name. The brewery originates from a project launched by brewer Andrea Rocca, who began producing beer in 2001 under the brand Echo, often promoted as one of the highest-altitude beers produced in Europe. In 2009 the project evolved into 1816 – La Birra di Livigno, highlighting the strong connection between the brewery and its mountain environment. The brewery produces a range of craft beers that includes styles such as helles, weizen, and various seasonal specialties brewed directly in Livigno. Its identity is closely linked to the alpine setting, where the high altitude and local environment form part of the brewery’s narrative and branding. The facility also includes a brewpub restaurant where visitors can taste the beers alongside regional dishes and learn about the brewing process through guided visits and tastings. Over time the project expanded beyond beer, introducing craft spirits such as gin and developing a whisky that matures in the high-altitude conditions of Livigno. Birrificio 1816 has become one of the distinctive craft beer projects in the Italian Alps, combining local identity, tourism, and artisanal brewing.
