Pretuziano delle Colline Teramane olive oil was named after the Italic tribe of Praetuzi who lived in the area of the present-day province of Teramo, circa 300 BCE. Pretuziano extra virgin olive oil is obtained predominantly from the indigenous olive varieties of Leccino, Frantoio and Drita, the content of which must be at least 75% while for the remaining 25% other local varieties such as Tortiglione and Carboncella can be used. The color of Pretuziano oil is light green with a fruity smell and a medium spicy taste. It has a very low acidity level of only 0.5g per 100g of oil and a pronounced bitter aftertaste. Pretuziano delle Colline Teramane is typically used for seasoning vegetable dishes, grilled fish, salads or crispy bruschettas.

The extra virgin olive oil Colline Teatine is sometimes called also Frentano or Vastese, after the towns of Castel Frentano and Vasto, located in the province of Chieti in southern Abruzzo, where this oil is traditionally produced. The production of the oil in the province of Chieti goes back to the 2nd century A.D. and it has always been the main resource of income for the local population. This extra virgin olive oil is made predominantly by olives of the Gentile di Chieti variety, picked in the period between late October and the end of December. It has a yellowish color with a green hue, and a fruity scent varying from gentle to strong. The taste of Colline Teatine has soft but still quite pronounced bitter notes. Colline Teatine olive oil is typically matched with robust legumes, boiled vegetables or grilled fish.

This variety of olive oil is produced in the province of Pescara located in the heart of the Abruzzo region which is characterized by mountains and hills, settled between the Sirente area and the Adriatic sea. Due to the micro-climate of the area and the quality of the soil (limestone, clay, sand or silt), this region has ideal conditions for the production of high-quality olive oil such as Aprutino Pescarese. It is obtained from the two main varieties: Leccino and Toccolana, which represent at least 80% of the final product, while the other 20% can be obtained from other local olive varieties. This excellent olive oil has a yellow to greenish color and a pronounced fruity taste. Apruntino Pescarese is suitable for use in all kinds of traditional dishes, salads, sauces or even for frying.
